Nortrax is Hiring an Equipment Sales Specialist Near Pembroke, NH

Summary of Primary Functions:

The Crushing and Large Quarry Equipment Specialist is the primary liaison between end users, manufacturers, and Nortrax for assisting in sales, rentals, demonstrations, and product support of all Kleemann and Deere production class equipment by working with Rental Managers, General Managers, and Territory Managers to grow market share and revenue across Nortrax’s territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: May include some or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Single point of contact for Kleemann and Deere new and used products for Maine, New Hampshire, New York, and Vermont; includes coordinating delivery and setup of all Kleemann and Deere PCE rentals and sales at all Nortrax locations
  • Call on quarries and companies using crushing and Production Class equipment. Work with and act as key liaison between Sales personnel, and key customers to facilitate promoting of product and foster customer relationships. Support the sales team on customer calls and building knowledge and understanding of the Kleemann crushing & PCE market
  • Responsible for customer operation training and daily maintenance on all rentals and sales deliveries
  • Provide competitive analysis for all product lines
  • Identify customer needs and industry trends
  • Conduct and drive Kleemann and PCE demonstrations
  • Keep current on product features and benefits, and be comfortable explaining and demonstrating each
  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual crushing/ PCE sales goals
  • Working in conjunction with Sales Manager, develop marketing plan and plan activities/events to promote sale of new and used crushing and PCE to meet annual sales goals
  • Responsible for lead generation – industry associations and call ins from marketing sources
  • Familiarity with Sales Funnel Management – through CRM, JDQuote2, quote logs, demo reports, lost sales reporting to ensure order to invoice accuracy
  • Monitor and evaluate the activities, products, and services of the competition.
  • Must operate with MSHA guidelines while on location
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge dealing with large account customers and their purchasing practices
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Production Class Equipment
  • Knowledge of the large account market and purchasing practices and an established large account network preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills are required
  • Strong selling skills and strategies

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ sales industry experience and a comprehensive knowledge of applicable equipment considered an asset
  • Experience in crushing and screening applications, sales, and business development with large accounts with diverse market segments, including construction, quarry, aggregate, mining underground, road building and site preparation
  • Proven track record as a self-starter with proven sales, negotiation, and effective communication soft skills
  • Capability of building relationships internally / externally, understand and interpret needs of those key stakeholders.
  • Basic computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • College degree preferred

Education, Skill, and/or Experience Requirements:

College degree preferred. Heavy equipment sales experience may be substituted or combined with education.

Organization and communication skills must be highly developed. Computer skills need to be broad based.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, statistics, and geometry.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

This person must possess a valid driver’s license.
