Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef . looking to increase food sales, control food and labor cost. 35yrs established. Seaside community between Boston & NY. Creative freedom . looking for someone to put customers in seat. Clean kitchen, friendly customers and nice work environment. Laidback owner.
Duties:
- Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
- Create innovative menus and recipes
- Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate their tasks
- Train and manage kitchen personnel
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
- Monitor food and labor costs to maintain budgetary guidelines
- Collaborate with the management team to develop seasonal menus
- Maintain inventory levels and order supplies as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef with management ability.
- In-depth knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Knowledge of food industry trends and best practices
