First State Bank of Uvalde is Hiring a Trust Administrative Assistant Near Uvalde, TX

Job Summary:
Trust Administrative Assistant will assist Trust Officer in handling the day-to-day administrative operations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Process all new accounts into Trust accounting System
  • Write letters on behalf of Trust Officers for purchase/sale of stock, CD’s, etc.
  • Enter check requests/disbursements into Trust accounting system
  • Reconcile and maintain an accurate log of Trust Income
  • Process Trust Departments Quarterly Fees
  • Daily posting of Trust departments tickets
  • Assist with requests during audits and exams
  • Cross-train in all functions of Trust Operations including FSB stock processing
  • Assist with morning balancing as needed
  • Prepare reports for monthly Board meetings and Trust Committee meetings
  • Organize various trust files ensuring that files are complete with all documentation required
  • Monitor and keep track of all insurance/payments and lease agreements/payments
  • Assist with daily scanning/reviewing of Trust documents
  • Assist Operations Manager during Tax Season (write letters, compile tax packages and keep an accurate log of all estimated tax payments for the year)
  • Supply ordering for the department
  • Process Fincen Reports
  • Update weekly CD rates from Rate Watch
  • Type documentation for CDs & Securities maturing
  • Communicate with Southwest Texas Junior College for Scholarship information
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned by supervisor
Preferred Qualifications (Education Experience, Skills)
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to complete assigned task in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel applications
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels withing the Bank
