The Accounts Payable Lead is ultimately responsible for all activities in the A/P department. Must ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense reports; stand behind the accuracy of all transactions and work closely with the Controller on compliance with all policies and law. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Process an extremely high volume of invoices
• Match invoices to PO’s, code invoices, cut checks, etc.
• Process high volume of expense reports and credit card expenses
• Resolve any discrepancies in PO’s, invoices, contracts, expense reports, etc.
• Maintain vendor and contract worker relations
• Maintain A/P files
• Reconcile A/P month-end balance to GL
• Miscellaneous projects on an as needed basis
• Produce reports as needed
• Other duties as assigned. 

Education & Experience:

• 5 years’ experience performing accounting duties as described above
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other relevant field. 
• Prior leadership experience
• Must have experience in a manufacturing environment- dealing with freight invoices and inventory, etc.
• Stable work history
