Date Available: 06/17/2024 Job Summary: Provide district-wide coordination and support for after school and summer programming. Ensure that Community Schools programs and services are aligned to respective grade and age levels, reinforce progress toward measurable objectives and outcomes, and coordinate a continuum of supports for both students and families. Organizational Relationship: The Student Activities Coordinator (SAC) reports directly to the Student Activities Director. The SAC works collaboratively with other Community School team members, district administrators, and building administrators. Qualifications:
Bachelors’s degree in relevant field such as education, public health, social work, or social policy.
Professional Educator License (PEL) with a teaching endorsement appropriate to serve a K-8 population, preferred.
Experience in project management, collaboration, supervision, and evaluation
Experience working within an elementary school setting and a diverse (culturally, racially, ethnically, linguistically, etc.) student population
Ability to exercise sound judgment in making decisions regarding the safety and welfare of students
Ability to perform assigned duties and tasks with a minimum of direction
Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
Proficient in a second language (bilingual or multilingual) preferred
Position requires travel between buildings.
