Title: Director of Human Resources
Duration: Direct hire, Full-time
Location: Glenview, IL
Compensation: $110,000 - $115,000 Annually Benefits
Responsibilities:
• Set vision and direction for HR activities and drive a positive organizational culture.
• Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding, HRIS, compensation, payroll, and required reporting.
• Oversee benefits, wellness programs, training & development, and diversity initiatives.
• Handle employee relations, investigations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and legal compliance.
• Implement new initiatives for internal processes like new hire onboarding, employee recognition program, and internal communication processes.
• Conduct job analysis and optimize job requirements.
• Upgrade timekeeping systems based on recent compensation studies.
• Manage remote workforce productivity and ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations.
• Maintain a presence within the organization and build relationships with employees.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an HR Generalist, with supervisory experience.
• Significant knowledge of employment laws at federal, state, and park district levels.
• Experience with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems.
• Experience developing HR processes and procedures.
• Outstanding communication skills and excellent judgment and decision-making skills.
• Experience handling employment-related crisis situations and employee relations disputes.
• Valid IL driver’s license required.
• Professional HR certification preferred.
