St. Bernard is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to learn our processes and then help design improvements. The right fit for the job will have strong business acumen, professional communication skills and a positive attitude.

Accounts Payable Responsibilities

Oversee accounts payable process from start to finish:

Along with Accounting Assistant, match invoices completely to receiving voucher

Enter invoices into QuickBooks to produce a/p list

Work with Heads to determine invoices to be paid and application of credits

Ensure that invoices are paid within established vendor terms and that all available discounts are applied.

Maintain accurate vendor information

Provide payment updates to vendors as needed

Problem solve invoices in question

Follow up to completion with vendors and co-workers in a timely manner

Maintain vendor relationships

Communicate professionally to vendors and co-workers in a timely manner

Improve our level of communication and process in resolving issues

Assist Accounting Supervisor as needed

Retail accounting and familiarity with Retail Backbone or other POS systems experience preferred

Quickbooks Online experience a must

Experience with Bill.com or other ACH payment systems preferred.

Ability to prioritize, self-manage and make decisions

Supervise the Accounting Assistant

Delegate appropriate work to the Accounting Assistant

Improve processes and ensure accuracy of AA’s work

Ensure timeliness and accuracy of filing
