Overall Responsibilities of the Front of House (FOH) Lead:

• Ensures all FOH operations are managed effectively to provide safe, quality, enticing, efficient and friendly food service experiences for all customers of the restaurant dining room, take-out, snack shack, catering and special food service events as assigned.
• Assist the Restaurant Manager as directed in the planning, management, marketing, and evaluation of Restaurant functions primarily as it affects the FOH operations.
• Leads by example for team members to work well together and provide exceptional customer service to all patrons.
• Projects a professional demeanor at all times; stays calm in difficult situations; and treats staff and customers respectfully at all times.
• Adheres to Hart Ranch Camping Resort (HRCR) Employee Handbook, Employee Safety Manual and Board Policies and Procedures.
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Operations: The Restaurant Front of House (FOH) Lead will:

• Create, communicate and maintain employee work schedules for FOH and Snack Shack employees for efficient coverage as needed including days, evenings, weekends and holidays, as well as scheduling rotation of employee breaks.
• Ensure each FOH and Snack Shack employee is trained in their job duties including Safe Serve. Monitor staff’s work for conformance to prescribed standards. Alert Supervisor to team member feedback and training needs.
• Oversee Barista management ensuring consistency in brewing coffee, the making and presentation of coffee drinks, hot chocolate, flavored tea, lemonade, and the cleanliness and stocking of the coffee bar.
• Manage food expediting when the restaurant is busy. Oversee timely and complete table service delivery.
• Manage shift checklist to ensure staff are cleaning and filling supplies before clocking out.
• Oversee FOH cleaning schedule to ensure cabinets are wiped down, windows cleaned, salt & pepper shakers are filled and wiped, napkin dispensers are filled, etc.
• Attend department meetings to discuss company policies, customer complaints and other topics as assigned.
• Maintain a list of supplies and equipment to order. Receive and store FOH supplies like coffee, paper goods, etc.
• Ensure FOH compliance with all safety norms and regulations set by HRCR, local, state and federal laws.
• Assist in cross-training FOH staff to help on Back of House (BOH) line, dishwashing, etc. Work with BOH Lead on regular cleaning of the ice cream machine.
• Provide input to budgets, including the determination as to number of staff and relevant other material resources.
• Assist with catering as needed (prep, serving, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned.
