About our company:Founded in 2011, Clearly Filtered (www.ClearlyFiltered.com) has established itself as a trusted brand in the direct to customer, eCommerce space by specializing in providing customers with powerful water filtration products that are designed to help people reduce their exposure to the harmful environmental toxins found in tap water. Our customers don’t have to worry about what chemicals, toxins, or contaminants may be lurking in their tap water because of what our filters capture!
Who we are looking for:Someone with experience who will confidently approach things like HR compliance, a commitment to hiring and retaining exceptional talent, and a passion for servant leadership. As the Director of HR, you will be a key member of the leadership team and responsible for all aspects of our people operations in the business, including recruiting/onboarding, performance, training and development, employee relations, and a whole bunch of other things we just can’t think of right now!
We are looking for someone who will not only join our amazingly talented and capable team, but someone who will add to our company’s culture and embrace and embody our company values.
This is a full time, salaried position based out of our office located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. This is an in-office role, ineligible for remote/virtual accommodations. Full time hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM. 
What you will do:Employee Relations
  • Act as point of contact for relevant personnel issues.
  • Streamline investigative process.
  • Train managers on handling sensitive employee situations.
  • Evaluate current policies and practices and work with Legal Counsel to ensure the organization is in compliance.
  • Stay up to date with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of employee relations documents.
Employee Performance and Compensation
  • Work with managers to administer the employee review process, to create clear stated goals and objectives for employees to hit.
  • Encourage employee recognition by managers and peers.
  • Work with the compensation committee to evaluate compensation change requests.
  • Partner with managers for employees requiring PIPs for performance issues.
Proactive Positional Forecasting
  • Work with CEO & Finance to ensure positions meet fiscal objectives and are appropriately budgeted for.
  • Partner with managers to identify gaps and future positional needs.
  • Evaluate market compensation, incentives, and performance standards for current and future open positions. 
Recruit and Onboard Exceptional Talent
  • Assist managers in defining the expectations for openings and ensure the team is prepared for the hire.
  • Job title, compensation, and responsibilities generation.
  • Sort resumes, scheduling phone screens and interviews, and act as point of contact for candidates.
  • Train managers on compliant interview techniques, questions, and tactics.
  • Manage a seamless onboarding experience, giving new hires a great start to their employment with us. 
What you need to have:
  • 10 years of progressive Human Resources leadership.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College or University with major course work in Human Resources, Management, or related field.
  • PHR or SPHR, THRP, SHRM certification preferred.
  • A highly strategic and responsive, service-oriented attitude.
  • A strong understanding of compensation programs, employee training & development activities, HR processes & systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to execute/implement concepts, plans, and ideas.
  • Management experience and a demonstrated ability to develop and lead others.
  • High level of organizational skills.
  • Very strong interpersonal and effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and background investigation.

Salary range:
$120,000.00 - $140,000.00 annually depending on experience, education, and qualifications.
