Headquartered in the heart of the Upper Peninsula, Champion Inc., a family owned company with almost 100 years of experience within its divisions, is seeking a full time Help Desk Technician. This position will join the team at the corporate office located in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
As the first point of contact, the Help Desk Technician’s role is to ensure proper computer operation for all our business units so that end users can complete business tasks. This entry-level position will provide software, hardware and related support and maintenance. Duties will include, but are not limited to troubleshooting issues; documenting problems, solutions, processes, and procedures and various other administrative duties to ensure smooth operation of the IT Department.
The person that will excel in this role enjoys learning new things, solving problems, and working with people. Possessing and exhibiting excellent communication and personable interaction skills is essential to success in this position.
Qualified applicants will possess an Associate’s degree in the field of computer science or a relevant work experience as well as a valid driver’s license for travel between remote locations. CompTIA A Computer Troubleshooting Certification preferred; completion within 1 year required.
