Job Overview

The Project Specialist position is responsible for providing technical guidance to engineering, design, project management, and manufacturing teams with a focus on electrical design.

A Day In The Life
  • Control the Bill of Material and verify accuracy and compliance with customer specifications
  • Create and verify QC Documents
  • Coordinate project requirements with CAD Designer and Technician
  • Resolve technical issues in manufacturing
  • Create Wire Diagrams and House Wire Schematics
  • Interpret and understand internal and external customer specifications
  • Have a knowledge of circuits, electrical components, and their related functionality.
  • Review of Mechanical Drawings for quality and compliance with requirements
  • Coordinate with the Compliance Team and Product Design Team for projects, as required
  • Review buildings for NEC code compliance, as required.
  • Create component Bill of Materials and Cable Schedules
  • Work safely in and around energized electrical enclosures.
  • Coordinate design change implementation
  • Work with Project Manager to support projects
  • Customer visits (travel approximately 10% of the time)
What will help you thrive in this role?
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field or Associate Degree with Utility Systems Certificate
  • Minimum of one to three years of experience in related engineering, co-op or internship role,
  • Or minimum of five years of experience working on a Systems Control project management team
  • Knowledge and understanding of the company's product offering and customer needs
  • Basic understanding of AC and DC circuits
  • Skill at reading schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Advanced working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven analytical & problem-solving skills
