Spectronics Corporation is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Melville, NY
Participates in the daily Accounts Payable function which includes verifying invoices, matching appropriate Purchase Orders (three-way match), and preparing payments (checks and bank transactions) accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare bank deposits, deposits in Scanner to the bank, and deliver checks to the bank (when necessary).
Follows AP systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
Collaborates with senior management to ensure monthly closing of financial records and posting of month-end information.
Communicates with vendors to resolve billing issues.
Works with purchasing dept to resolve issues related to invoices and/or purchase order approvals.
Compiles reports and prepares spreadsheets as required by management.
Manage Accounts Payable, including but not limited to invoice entry, payment generation, vendor maintenance, and spending analysis.
Assist in month-end closing, including, Accounts Payable reconciliations, Cash reconciliation, bank reconciliations, preparing month-end closing reports, generating, and posting journal entries.
Works on special projects as necessary.
Perform other duties that are needed to support the accounting department.
