We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Analyst to join our thriving Engineering team. This position is ideal for a professional with a strong background in the engineering industry, particularly in the solar and power systems sector. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of sales tracking, implementation, electrical systems, and internet providers. This role requires a blend of skills including consulting, cost analysis, commercial banking, tax credits, mergers & acquisitions, and capital equipment. The candidate will also have a proven track record in prospecting, B2B sales, account management, research, and continuous improvement. This is a permanent position requiring at least 5 years of relevant experience.
ResponsibilitiesAs a Business Development Analyst, your primary responsibilities will include
- Developing and implementing strategic business plans to expand the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence in the market.
- Identifying and researching potential new business opportunities and markets.
- Tracking sales, maintaining CRM data, and creating detailed reports on business development activities.
- Conducting cost analysis to determine business growth and profitability.
- Consulting on the design and implementation of solar and power systems.
- Liaising with commercial banks and managing tax credit applications.
- Leading or participating in mergers and acquisitions.
- Managing company’s capital equipment needs and procurement.
- Prospecting for new clients and managing B2B sales.
- Managing key accounts and building strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities and potential threats.
- Driving the continuous improvement of business development processes and practices.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
- Proven experience in solar, sales tracking, implementation, electrical and power systems.
- Proficiency with internet providers, consulting, cost analysis, and commercial banking.
- Extensive knowledge of tax credits, mergers & acquisitions, and capital equipment.
- A strong track record in prospecting, B2B sales, and account management.
- Excellent research skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA or similar advanced degree is a plus.
