Superior Home Maintenance is Hiring an Office Manager/Bookkeeper Near Columbus, OH

Superior Home Maintenance Co. is looking for a highly organized office manager/bookkeeper for our Columbus office. We would love to bring on someone who is Bilingual (Spanish), and familiar with work in construction.

We are a licensed, bonded and insured business and we’ve been in operation for over ninety years in central Ohio and the Columbus area. Our company takes great pride in the quality and care of the work that we provide to our customers. Our technicians are experienced in every area of home maintenance that a homeowner may need.

This position is an important role within our company. Potential candidates will be working alongside our team to manage the day to day operations to ensure the business runs smoothly. In addition to assisting with daily operations, the candidate will be managing our books (accounts receivable, accounts payable), performing HR duties, and handling Payroll. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with some schedule flexibility.

Essential Duties:

  • Process account receivable and accounts payable.
  • Manage daily bookkeeping
  • Make bank deposits and reconciliations.
  • Process payroll
  • Work with CPA
  • Serve as primary contact for customers, subcontractors, and employees.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and contacts.
  • Filing
  • Answering emails
  • Track spending on company accounts
  • Answering Phones
  • Scheduling Estimates
  • Track Office supplies inventory and order more when needed
  • Process Vendor updates, COI’s, BWC Certificates, auto insurance, etc.
  • Manage mailing activities
  • Maintain electronic and physical files

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED (Degree is a bonus)
  • Bilingual (Not Required but is Preferred)
  • 2 years of relevant working experience
  • Excellent Verbal Skills
  • Well Organized and able to work independently
  • Professional Phone Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive Personality
  • Teachable
  • Comfortable with typing and navigating a computer
  • Experience with Google Workspace

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Schedule:

  • M-F 7:30-4
  • Day Shift
  • 8 hour shift

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
