Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manages the formula database for the companies productionfacilities.
• Works with the Pricing and Formulations Manager, salesstaff, nutritionists, and customers to maintain an accurate and efficientformulation process.
• Input formulas for pricing requests and work with thePricing and Formulations Manager to margin appropriately and price newprospects in a timely manner.
• Creates new mixes, makes changes to existing formulas,prices current formulas monthly and prepares mixed feed formula price quotes asrequested.
• Receive, put into production and give confirmation back tothe consultants in a timely manner. Update pricing on each formula when aformula update occurs.
• Monitor ingredient specifications and maintain accuratenutritional specifications for all ingredients.
• Works in conjunction with the Purchasing and FormulationDepartment to keep contracted ingredients up to date for contracted ingredientmaintenance.
• Maintains and updates contract related ingredients in thesystem.
• Works with the company's production facilities tocreate and maintain accurate feed analysis tags that satisfy all state codesand regulations.
• Provide exact medication instructions and ensure thatfeeding instructions are accurate.
• Manages feed analysis tags for all current products byensuring the accuracy of existing tags, maintaining an inventory of currenttags for all products and distributing tags as requested.
• Interpret data from each mill’s quarterly ingredienttesting. Use these to maintain accurate ingredient analysis.
• Works in conjunction with the Pricing and FormulationsManager to maintain correct margins.
• Maintains an archive of formulas.

Qualifications:

• BS or MS in Animal Science or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ work experience related to dairynutrition or formulations preferred.
• High level of detail, multi-tasking, and problem solving.
• Advanced Microsoft Suite skills required
• Excellent verbal and written communication, human relationsand organizational skills;
• Accurate typing, spelling, punctuation, grammar and dataentry skills;
• Skill in providing excellent customer service to bothinternal and external customers;
• Ability to learn and interpret formulas and product usage.
