Job Summary:
The Continuous Improvement Manager collaborates with the entire plant team in leading and facilitating ongoing continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the VP Operations, you will facilitate a culture of zero-loss manufacturing by developing and implementing strategies to optimize processes, reduce waste, and enhance overall efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success and drive sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and cost savings.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of current processes and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and establish measurable goals.
  • Provide training and coaching to employees at all levels to foster a culture of continuous improvement and empower teams to drive change.
  • Lead and support Kaizen events, Rapid Improvement Workshops, and other improvement activities to drive tangible results.
  • Utilize data-driven decision-making to track progress, measure performance, and identify opportunities for further improvement.
  • Develop and maintain standardized work processes, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and efficiency across the organization.
  • Act as a change agent, driving cultural transformation and promoting a mindset of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Partner with suppliers and external stakeholders to drive improvements in supply chain processes and relationships.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in continuous improvement to continuously enhance our processes and systems.
Position Qualifications:
  • 4 yr degree in Business Management, Organizational Development, Engineering or other related fields is preferred
  • 3 years manufacturing experience in a Continuous Improvement environment - TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and related process improvement systems.
  • Proven track record of success in leading continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to drive decision-making and process improvement.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and inspire teams at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to drive change and influence others to embrace continuous improvement as a core value.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
