POSITION OVERVIEW

Title: Director of Human Resources

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Gallatin, TN | Located northeast of Nashville in the rapidly growing city of Gallatin, Tennessee, Tennessee Grasslands (TNG) offers a fully private golf and country club experience in a beautiful lakefront setting. The Club boasts two clubhouses featuring multiple private dining outlets, a full-service event center, two lakeside pools, two Bill Bergin-designed 18-hole championship golf courses, a 9-hole short course, a five-bay teaching facility, two fitness facilities, and a racquet sports complex with year-round access.

The Director of Human Resources plays a key role in developing the team members’ experience and overall culture for the organization.

The Director of Human Resources works closely with Senior Leadership to develop and execute a comprehensive talent and culture strategy aligned with Tennessee Grasslands mission and values, ensuring the well-being, engagement, development, and growth of our team members.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, The Director of Human Resources will partner with leadership to build and implement initiatives that lead to and reinforce an exceptional company culture and team member experience through direct oversight of Talent Acquisition, Training & Leadership Development, Talent Management, Culture and Engagement.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

· Develops strong trusted partnerships with business leaders, acting as advisor and partner in the areas of organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent management, talent acquisition, career development, culture, and succession planning.

· Responsible for the development and implementation of the overall HR strategy. Acts as a change agent in identifying opportunities to improve the overall workforce and HR processes and effectiveness to enable business strategy and results are achieved.

· Manages the onboarding process, ensuring effective execution by managers. Works closely with hiring managers with a focus on successfully integrating and retaining new team members.

· Ensures alignment and coordination across the entire team member lifecycle (recruit, hire, engage, develop, etc.) to get the right talent in the right place at the right time.

· Understands and translates business strategy to continually deliver effective HR services and initiatives that support the overall business goals and objectives.

· Develops and monitors Key Performance Indicators to evaluate the success of Tennessee Grasslands HR programs.

· Consults and advises on employee relations issues. Ensures awareness in the areas of compliance with employment laws.

· Supports the administration and compliance of HR policies and programs. Ensures compliance with state and federal statutes, laws and regulations including but not limited to all applicable wage and hour laws, and regulations related to FMLA, OSHA, EEO and ADA.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, or a related field.

· 10 years HR experience with a minimum of 7 years of experience in an HR Generalist leadership role with an upward career pattern.

· Demonstrated understanding of HR principles and practices, employment laws and regulations, and effectively leading comprehensive ER Investigations.

· Significant customer service orientation, responsiveness and follow through.

· Ability to collaborate and influence at a senior leadership level to effectively support behavioral and organizational change.

· Strong leadership and managerial skills to oversee the HR department and work with all team members within the company.

· Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills.

· Project and time management skills.

· Organizational skills.

· Proven expertise in solving problems.

· Budget management skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
