Lifespan Physician Group (LPG): Rhode Island Hospital & Hasbro Children’s Hospital, affiliated hospitals of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University have an opening for a clinical child psychologist to join our Medical Psychiatric Inpatient Program. Opportunities for Brown University Clinical Faculty appointments if desired. Candidates must have completed doctoral training and clinical internship from APA-Accredited programs. About the Job:
- Treat adolescents in a 16-bed inpatient unit
- Care primarily for patients with co-existing medical and psychiatric disorders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams developing behavior plans and provide individual, family, and group therapy
- Multidisciplinary team is comprised of pediatricians, child psychiatrists, psychologists, an advanced practice psychiatric nurse, social workers, pediatric nurses, mental health workers, and nutritionists
- Opportunity to teach and provide supervision
- Collaborative research opportunities
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Child Psychology
- Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island
- Desire to work in a team based care model
- Experience working in an inpatient setting
- Bring a passion for helping youth with medical and psychiatric issues
- Good sense of humor and a “roll-up your sleeves” mentality
