Lifespan Physician Group is Hiring an Outpatient Pediatric Neuropsychologist Positions at Bown University teaching hospitals Near Providence, RI

Lifespan Physician Group (LPG): Bradley and Hasbro Children’s Hospitals, affiliated teaching hospitals of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University have two openings for outpatient pediatric neuropsychologists.Bradley Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital (RIH)/Hasbro Children’s Hospital (HCH) are part of the Lifespan hospital system in Rhode Island and are teaching hospitals for the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. At both sites, the Pediatric Neuropsychology Program at Lifespan includes an active neuropsychological consultation and outpatient service. We also provide training for post-doctoral fellows in pediatric neuropsychology, as well as for psychiatry residents and practicum students from local graduate programs. About the Jobs:
  • Bradley Position: Bradley Hospital is a private, non-for-profit child and adolescent psychiatric hospital that provides a range of family-focused, high quality mental heatlh care to children, adolescents, and young adults with emotional disorders and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Full-time primarily clinical position working with a renowned multi-disciplinary team in the Bradley Hospital Outpatient Department. The Outpatient Department is backed up by a strong support staff and care coordination services.
  • Provide neuropsychological services to children and adolescents currently in outpatient mental health treatment.
  • The patient population reflects a diverse range of developmental and psychiatric disorders that impact thinking, learning, or socio-behavioral functioning. Many patients also present with additional medical or neurological conditions.
 
  • Hasbro Position: Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's Hospital has the area’s only pediatric intensive care unit, and pediatric oncology and cardiac programs, as well as separate emergency and surgical units designated for pediatric patients.
  • Full-time primarily clinical position providing services to children and adolescents from within the hospital system.
  • Consultations and referrals are from a diverse range of hospital services, including pediatric neurology, hematology-oncology, and mental health providers.
 
  • Both Positions:
  • Both positions have the opportunity for a Brown University clinical faculty appointment, if desired.
  • While clinical service is the primary focus of both positions, collaborative research opportunities may be available.
About You:
  • PhD or PsyD in Psychology from an APA/CPA accredited problem, with an internship from APA/CPA-approved program required.
  • Two-year postdoctoral fellowship in Neuropsychology required.
  • Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island.
  • It is expected that applicants are board-certified or eligible for ABPP board certification in clinical neuropsychology, and subspeciality certification in pediatric neuropsychology.
  • Bilingual skills and/or experience working with interpreters are preferred.
  • Team-oriented professional and a desire to work collaboratively in a team-based care model.
  • Enthusiasm for helping youth and families struggling with complex medical, psychosocial and behavioral health needs.
