Lifespan Physician Group (LPG): Bradley Hospital, an affiliated teaching hospital of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University has an opening for a child psychologist to join our Pediatric Partial Hospital Program. This position has the opportunity for a Brown University Clinical Faculty appointment, if desired. Candidates must have completed doctoral training and internship from APA-accredited programs. Bradley Hospital is the nation’s first psychiatric hospital exclusively for children and adolescents. We provide expert family-focused care to children and adolescents with psychological, developmental, and behavioral problems, through a wide range of inpatient, outpatient, residential and partial hospital programs. About the job: • Full-time clinically-focused position working with a renowned multidisciplinary team on a family-focused day hospital program. • Work with patients ages 0-7, and their families, who are in need of stabilization, assessment and treatment. • Treat very young children with a broad range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, ADHD and externalizing disorders, problems with sleeping, feeding, medical treatment compliance and relationships. • Given their age and the nature of the needs of these very young children, a day treatment program is preferred to hospitalization or out-of-home placement and preserves the focus of treatment on the home caregiver environment, addressing emotional and social difficulties within the family as an integral part of a comprehensive treatment plan. • Function as a primary clinician on a multidisciplinary team providing care coordination, treatment planning, diagnostic assessments; parent-child, family, and individual therapies; parent guidance; overseeing group and milieu therapies, home, school, and community visits. Serve as the leader of the treatment team for the assigned caseload. • Teaching and supervision opportunities with an academic appointment to Brown Medical School, may be available. • Collaborative research opportunities may be available. About you: • PhD or PsyD with an internship from an APA-accredited program, Child/Family specialization. • Postdoctoral experience with Child/Family emphasis encouraged. • Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island. • Passion for working with young children, families, and systems of care. • Team-oriented professional and a desire to work collaboratively in a team-based care model for young children struggling with complex psychosocial and behavioral health needs.
