Territory Sales Representative - Stand Strong FencingBenefits and Compensation

Business and Job Purpose  Our mission is to deliver the best customer experience in home services – and that all starts with our sales professionals. We are seeking an enthusiastic sales team member who enjoys being out in the community, developing relationships, and helping homeowners, business owners, property managers, and others find solutions to their fencing and outdoor needs. You will be a part of a fast-growing new business with national backing, strong technology and resources to maximize your success, and can expect to work hand-in-hand with the owner to develop and execute sales growth strategies. You will:
  • Learn and adopt Stand Strong Fencing structured sales process and complete required training
  • Present and sell the features and benefits of Stand Strong Fencing products, continually prospect for new customers through networking, referrals, and effective follow-up
  • Set and maintain the required number of appointments to meet/exceed sales goals.  
Incentive-based, uncapped compensation determined by the success of the individual Sales Consultant. Primary Responsibilities  
  • Generate and Identify Sales Opportunities: Confirm and qualify booked appointments and generate organic leads by developing relationships in the community
 
  • Conduct On-Site Sales Appointments: Consult with customers at their homes and businesses to understand their needs, present Stand Strong fencing solutions, provide accurate estimates, and secure sales
 
  • Manage and Organize the Customer Pipeline: Organize, plan, and prioritize sales calls and appointments, and perform basic record keeping and data entry to ensure proper tracking of sales and customer needs/inquiries
 
  • Develop Product Expertise: Build fencing product, industry, and technical knowledge, in relevant product areas to develop trust with potential customers
  • Build Industry Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of marketplace, local competition, and industry trends in order to identify new business strategies and marketing opportunities
 
  • Other Responsibilities:
        • Develop product reference documents and materials for customers
        • Create and maintain a product marketing plan for increasing sales
        • Work with install team leaders to communicate client requirements
        • Interacts with customers in a pleasant and professional manner
        • Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience  Skills:
  • Sales – ability to execute home service sales  
  • Interactive Communication – engaging communicator and can effectively convey important information
  • Attention to Detail – pay attention to the “small things” in order to deliver customers exceptional service
  • Actively Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times
  • Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
  • Persuasion - Persuading others to change their minds or behaviors.  
  • Negotiation - Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences
  • Judgment and Decision Making - Managing one’s own time and the time of others
Experience and Education:
  • 1 years of experience in outside sales, commissioned sales, in-home sales, or a related field is preferred, but not required
  • Home service sales experience is a plus
  • Capability to navigate various applications on an iPad
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Skilled in verbal and written communications  
  • Polished and professional in demeanor and possess a strong work ethic 
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with the internet
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to treat others with respect and gain trust and respect from subordinates and supervisors
  • Exceedingly positive in his/her work attitude  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: 
  • Occasionally out in the field knocking on doors and engaging with business owners
  • Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear
  • Work outside in elements and varying seasons 
  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 100 lbs. 
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle for extended time periods
