We are currently on the lookout for a Senior Property Accountant to join the team onsite in our corporate office in Denver, CO.

Its a big job, but you will be part of a team of awesome Yugoers across the globe, who will support you to ensure we are consistent in the service we provide to our students.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial statements monthly, report on variances (budget vs actual) and hold properties accountable
• Assist department to complete monthly close procedures including prepare general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reporting for senior leadership
• Present financial analysis to monitor operational performance and guide business decisions
• Become the subject matter expert and resource for areas of responsibility
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance
• Train and mentor team members, including review of work
• Special projects as assigned
• Light travel may be required
• Be proactive in relation to processes, efficiencies & communication

Have to haves:

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• 3 years general ledger accounting experience, real estate and/or public accounting experience a plus
• Up to date on current technologies as well as intermediate skills in Excel, Word and Outlook
• Takes ownership of tasks and can be relied upon to complete them
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal) that will allow effective communication with all team members and company relationships
• This position will interact will all levels of the organization, including local and global teams
• Must be well-organized, have a strong attention to detail and an honest approach to tasks

Nice to haves:

• Must possess a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, be willing to take on new assignments and be open to constructive criticism
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion related to confidential matters
• Flexibility to work 40 hours, which may include evenings & weekends

This position is a salary position with a pay range of $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 / year.
