We are seeking a dynamic and highly experienced Senior Property Accountant to join our rapidly growing team in the Real Estate industry. This is a permanent position, offering a unique opportunity to work at a top tier investment group with a team of professionals committed to success.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Property Accountant, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:
1. Oversee the financial close process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
2. Manage fund accounting procedures, including the preparation and analysis of financial reports.
3. Conduct thorough financial audits, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
4. Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
5. Generate consolidated financial statements, providing vital insights to stakeholders.
6. Utilize Yardi software for property management accounting, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
7. Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, general ledgers, and other financial accounts.
8. Collaborate with other team members to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting.
9. Stay updated with industry trends and changes in accounting rules and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in property accounting, preferably within the Real Estate industry.
3. Demonstrated experience with financial close, fund accounting, audit, journal entries, consolidated financial statements, Yardi, and reconciliations.
4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
5. Proficiency in Yardi software or similar property management accounting systems.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
7. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation preferred.
