York Avenue Day School is seeking a dedicated educator for a part-time afternoon position working with children in a Ones or Twos classroom to start on August 26th for the 2024-2025 school year. The hours are from 2:15pm to 6:15pm, Monday through Friday.

Requirements for Assistant Teacher:

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood (preferred), Associate's Degree, or minimum some college credits
• Minimum two years of experience in an Early Childhood setting
• At least 21 years of age

Responsibilities:

· Work with children in a classroom setting

· Plan and implement age-appropriate activities

· Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children

Qualifications:

· Previous experience working with young children

· Knowledge of early childhood education principles

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
