Opportunity:

The ideal Human Resources Manager will join our management team at our Elk Grove Village, IL headquarters, support the full scope of Human Resources responsibilities and partner with the organization on strategic initiatives. They will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with senior leadership to understand the organization's goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Identifies staffing and recruiting needs; develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.

:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the HR team, ensuring security and accuracy of employee records and compliance with all local, state and federal employment laws, and Yamazen’s employee handbook.
  • Provide leadership, support and expert advice and counsel to regional management teams.
  • Ensures processes, policies and practices are interpreted and applied consistently and effectively
  • Oversees the management of unemployment and workers compensation claims.
  • Coordinates the timely completion of government reports (EEO-1, AAP, VETS 4212, OSHA, etc.)
  • Develops and disseminates employee communication regarding HR related programs.
  • Support training programs including delivery and development of materials as appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned.

:

The preferred candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated track record (8 years) of progressive human resource experience.
  • Multi-state experience a plus.
  • SPHR and/or SCP certification desired.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal and state labor laws EEO, ADA, FMLA, LOA, etc.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels and departments within the organization, along with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Detail oriented with ability to work independently in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong prioritization, organizational skills with a high degree of professionalism, integrity, and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain an extremely high level of confidentiality.
  • Highly developed consultative and negotiation skills.
  • Track record of sound judgment and decision making.
