Liberty University is Hiring an Administrative Graduate Assistant, Diversity Retention Near Lynchburg, VA
The Graduate Assistant reports to the Associate Director of Diversity Retention and Student Success. The position is responsible for supporting the efforts and responsibilities of the Associate Director through research, document preparation, presentation preparation, technical and instructional support, student programming, and other responsibilities in support of initiatives and events. These responsibilities include strategies that contribute to the success of organizational objectives in support of engagement, recruiting, retention, student success, and other initiatives. Some weekends and evenings are required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond or direct daily emails and keep a record of canvas assignments of the scholarship programs
Provide weekly office support to the Diversity Retention team
Communicate with students every week and arrange meetings with the Diversity Retention team
Provide planning support for department events, CSER coordination
Represent the department at events, providing support where needed
Assist Diversity Retention with document preparation, reports, data tracking, and analysis
Administration assistance and other duties as assigned

Graduate Student
Working knowledge of APA #7, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Clear testimony and understanding of Liberty's spiritual foundation.
Understanding of cultural differences from a biblical worldview
Strong research capabilities
Flexible schedule
Available some nights and weekends
Detail-Oriented
Self-motivated and takes initiative
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Occasionally lifts 50 or fewer pounds.
The ideal applicant will give a 1-year commitment to the position
Preferred Qualifications:
Basic instructional knowledge of Canvas
Experience with public speaking
Proficient in multitasking
Learns technology quickly
Has a good knowledge of the campus and where specific departments and offices are located.
