Wickford Appliance Inc. is Hiring an Administrative Assistant Near East Providence, RI

Our Business Development Department cultivates and pursues business relationships from builders/developer community and alternate markets. We are looking to immediately hire a Full-Time Administrative Assistant!

Responsibilities include, yet are not limited to: Assisting our Business Development Manager with various duties; Researching product/inventory for orders; Locating specs and manuals and emailing them to customers; Coordinating information, taking payment for delivery, installs & services for project displays, builders, customers, etc.; Writing orders which will require knowledge in appliance sales, conversing with Key individuals at job sites (estimators, owners, project managers, etc.), etc.

Qualified Applicant should possess excellent customer service, ability to multi-task, well-organized and communication skills. Proficiency in computers, using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook email. Must have excellent communication & time management skills as most of the duties in this department are time-sensitive and detailed. Training is provided.

This is a Monday through Friday position, we are Closed on Sundays. The position will be scheduled with 38-40 hours, weekly. Availability would be 8am – 5pm with your actual schedule being advised at time of hire. Having a dependable vehicle is a must as there are some after-hour networking events to attend as well as visiting various job sites along with the Business Development Manager. Training schedule will be discussed at time of interview and may require attending various showroom locations for a specific duration.

Medical benefits are available. As is a 401k with company matching. Some paid holidays as well as PTO & Sick time available to you, on an accrual basis once minimum weekly hours are met. Pay is weekly.
