We are hiring a new Accountant for the current and future school years due to an opening.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday- Friday- Year-round
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting with experience in all areas of accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable and fixed assets.
-Experience with computers and software with application to the accounting function is essential. Certification as a Certified Public Accountant is desired.
-Willing to obtain proper clearances for Acts 34, 114, and 151.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-To ensure the timely processing and payment of all purchase orders and invoices, to process deposits and to assist in maintaining the general ledger.
-The Accountant is expected to function and interact as a member of a team and to perform duties that are reflective of his/her professional training.
-Provide support to staff related to credit cards, expense reports, and conference registrations.
-Maintain documentation related to donor restricted funds, trusts, and fixed assets.
-Prepare and enter standard month-end journal entries and other entries as directed.
-Assist in the filing of various tax and accounting reports including sales tax, National School Lunch Program claims, and 1099 forms.
