STAFF ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have experience managing accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies. Along with, handling billing processes with precision and efficiency.

OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:
- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and efficiently
- Match purchase orders with invoices and verify accuracy
- Obtain necessary approvals for invoice payments
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs
- Monitor and maintain accounts payable email inbox
- Assist in month-end closing activities
- Assist with year-end audit requests related to accounts payable
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in accounting
- Billing experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping, accounting payable principles, and construction accounting
- ComputerEase software experience a plus
