Job DescriptionPosition purpose:Provide leadership and support in various areas of technical accounting issues and financial reporting.Responsibilities:• Prepare and submit the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for one or more legal entities in accordance with our Group guidelines. • Prepare annual report footnotes for responsible subject matter areas of expertise.• Monitor changes in Accounting standards, and determining the impact on responsible subject matter areas of expertise. • Perform technical accounting research on various topics as necessary.• Plan topics and coordinate speakers for various internal trainings. • Gather data and respond to various requests from key internal stakeholders and external auditors. • Prepare or reconcile monthly accounting journal entries for financial instruments and related derivatives, including hedge accounting. • Coordinate the quarterly debt covenant compliance calculations. • Reconcile assigned SAP accounts on a quarterly basis. • Coordinate and compile various parts of the annual goodwill, legal entity, and other impairment testing. • Coordinate the annual LIFO calculation.• Responsible for various projects as assigned.QualificationsJob Requirements: (must meet all five requirements)• BA/BS with 6 years of experience, MBA/MS with 4 years of experience• Public accounting background • Experience in external reporting / auditing• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Qualifications:• Demonstrates technical ability to understand and apply financial and/or regulatory knowledge to a wide range of situations with varying degrees of complexity • Executes assignments of increasing complexity accurately and on time• Develops alternative solutions to problems handles complex problems independently • Demonstrates the use of financial, operational, and business judgment and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances • Displays flexibility with assignments • Identifies and anticipates potential problems and demonstrates strategic thinking to implement solutions independently • Participates in projects across the organization to better leverage capabilities and expertiseKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:• Demonstrates the ability to lead teams, projects, and initiatives• Communicates effectively and promptly at all levels of the organization, supporting department objectives and management decisions• Ability to recognize, analyze, and interpret data in different forms for various purposes• Displays good organization, communication, and project management skills• Demonstrates attention to detail in performing assignments• Takes responsibility for seeing tasks through completion • Motivated, self-starting individualOther Preferred (must meet two of three; ideal candidates will have ALL THREE):• Flexibility in relocation• CPA / MBA preferred• Experience with SAPAdditional InformationVisa Requirements: U.S. Citizens / Green Card HolderAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
