Wells Fargo is seeking a Product Manager for CTO’s Engineering Enablement organization.

The Engineering Enablement organization enables modern & reliable Developer Experience platforms (DevX Platforms) that further elevate end-end developer experience, through predictable, prioritized yet prescriptive technology services that development & engineering teams rely upon for their success.

We are looking for a Digital Product Management Director, who will focus on the product managing API & Integration Enablement Product. This role will spearhead the strategic development, management and enhancement of the Wells Fargo API and Integration Enablement product. This pivotal role will integrate with technical and product managers across the bank to define and develop the next generation of APIs that connect our customer's needs with technology delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Lead the vision and roadmap for API products, ensuring alignment with the Wells Fargo bank domain architecture, product model, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with peer Product leadership and technical leadership to define objectives, key results, and a roadmap that delivers features increasing engagement with customers and each line of business objectives.
  • Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle for the API and Integration Enablement Product from concept to deployment. Provide performance metrics, financial objectives, and feature iteration that increase customer engagement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Leverage market experience and analysis to engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, translating technical details into business value and driving consensus across the WF lines of business.
  • Talent Development: Build and grow exceptional team by hiring, onboarding, and coaching product owners to bring products to market; Manage the team to adopt and maintain the product management discipline to support product vision, timelines, and prioritized execution of objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 years of digital product management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Product Management Experience: 8 years of experience guiding proven product management with an emphasis on API and Integration technologies in the financial services industry.
  • Technical Expertise: 5 years of engagement in API technologies, including RESTful services, OAuth, and JSON. Familiarity with modern API management tools and practices.
  • Agile Mindset: Expertise with knowledge and understanding of common Agile practices, customer-oriented environments, and iterative development practices and tools.
  • Strategy Development: 5 years of experience analyzing customer needs, discovery of required product features, and the resulting development of a product that delivers for the customer while increases efficiency for the firm.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Continuous Integration – Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) toolchain and understanding of the market leaders in the space.
  • Expertise in improving the developer experience through actively seeking customer and market input and data as a source of product innovation.
  • Experience in evaluating product growth options, assess new opportunities, and identify blockers including turning strategy into cross-functional aligned efforts. 
  • Understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security.
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels of the organization, including senior executive-level leadership.

Additional information:

Engineering Enablement product line(L4) enables key product(s)/product areas including,

  • Development Enablement that standardizes development journey through shared frameworks (Orchestra) for engineers to develop software faster using innovative workspace for software development, IDEs, DSLs, AI enabled developer assistant (GitHub Copilot) and internal developer portal.
  • API & Integration enablement that simplifies how our company's software systems interact, includes API development practices & platforms (Apigee API gateway) to drive transparency of the patterns, practices, and tooling.
  • Quality and Test Engineering that provides developers standardized and foundational testing tools supporting continuous integration & deployments to deliver quality code.
  • Enterprise pipeline (EPL)/CI/CD Orchestration that includes various tools & platform supporting an integrated CI/CD pipeline enabling a safe, secure, and compliant application software & software defined infrastructure (IaaC) delivery.

Job Expectations:

  • This position is not available to be fully remote.
  • This position is not available for visa sponsorship.

Pay Range

$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
