*This position is part time to full time, 24-32 hours per week. Starting between $20.20 and $22.72 per hour.
The Accounts Payable Clerk serves the Accounting Ministry by ensuring the efficient and effective processing and payment of payables. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity and operational continuity of the church. The clerk is expected to operate with discretion, thoughtfulness, and a commitment to ensuring that Water of Life Community Church functions without interruption.

Departmental Support:
• Relevant college level-coursework in accounting required; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role
• Demonstrated experience with accounting software and proven ability to quickly adapt to new software and technologies
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with PDF software, web-based tools, database use, and other technology tools
• Ability to process and analyze large volumes of data with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Familiarity with 1099 reporting and other regulatory compliance requirements
• Must be exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines consistently
• Understanding of internal controls related to finance and the importance of stringent adherence to these controls
• Must be a cooperative team player with a positive attitude and a strong willingness to contribute to team success
• Aspire to be a Christian role model in accordance with 1 Timothy, chapter 3
• Maintain a consistent relationship with God, demonstrate a strong and growing walk with Christ and live a Biblical lifestyle that honors Christ
• Be personally committed to the ideals, values and mission of WOL

• Ability to resolve issues according to Matthew 18
