We are looking for a new team member to join our Billing Department. The right candidate will handle billing department tasks, including, but not limited to: working with CPT and ICD-10 coding systems to produce and submit claims, working directly with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to process claims, reviewing and appealing unpaid and denied claims, answering patient billing questions, and handling collections on unpaid accounts. There will be cross-training in payment posting, previous experience in payment posting, including EFT payments, a plus. May perform other duties as assigned or requested. Strong attention to detail, flexibility and a team player attitude are essential.

Must be skilled in appropriate documentation, HIPAA, Microsoft Office, and have excellent customer service skills.

Previous insurance experience strongly preferred. A working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and medical terminology necessary - ophthalmology coding a plus. Salary proportionate to experience.

Experience with using Electronic Medical Records/Electronic Health Records (EMR/EHR) and general medical billing procedures needed.
