VisualScape is looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team. It is the primary responsibility of the Business Development Representative to bring a consistent flow of profitable new business to the business enterprise, in accordance with the company’s sales and marketing plan. The ideal candidate is career oriented, self-motivated, result driven and goal oriented.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads
  • Solicits sufficient new business opportunities for the organization to meet sales objectives
  • Builds relationships that lead to new business.
  • Prepares proposals for new work in a professional manner.
  • Keeps a record and aggressively pursues new opportunities for new business
  • Ensures that estimates are prepared and approved
  • Develops bid calendars and pricing strategies
  • Assists in the customer retention and account renewal processes
  • Gives constructive and honest feedback regarding customer perception of product and service value
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers
  • Composes, types and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material requiring judgment as to content, accuracy, and completeness
  • Confers with department heads to discuss possible new accounts and to outline new policies or sales promotion campaigns
  • Acts as a liaison between sales department and other sales related units
  • Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales
  • Attends trade shows and association meetings to promote product and services
  • Adheres to company standards and regulations

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Horticultural experience a plus.
