Our team of nationally and internationally renowned researchers is committed to developing and advancing evidence-based practices to increase the hiring and retention of employment for individuals with disabilities.
Essential Job Functions:
This position supports the mission of VCU and the department by providing infrastructure to predict and process the administrative and fiscal needs of faculty, staff, and students to further the quest to become a leader among national research universities providing high-quality learning/learning experiences, attain distinction as a fully integrated urban, public research university and a national model for community engagement and regional impact. This position provides support with ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and university policies, and procedures, and maintains the integrity of accounting records for all financial operations. Note to Applicants: This is a grant-funded position.
Position Responsibilities
Pull monthly ePrints and allocate to index folders.
Assist Financial Specialists with the monthly reconciliation andmaintenance of transaction records.
Ensure proper handling of checks for deposit and recording in theappropriate fund codes. Processing refunds as needed for non-grant fundedrevenue.
Will serve as a RRTC University Purchasing Card holder and office supplyordering contact.
Provide finance-related customer service and operational support. Theincumbent will work under supervision, resolving most standard issuesindependently while referring complex or unique issues to the Center FinanceManager.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work such as invoicecreation and ad hoc reports to the unit finance manager as requested.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and 0-3 years of relevant experienceor equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diversefaculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staffmember at VCU.
Proficiency in using spreadsheet software, Microsoft Excel,Google Suite, and Zoom.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritizeand handle multiple, complex tasks simultaneously.
Sound verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and workeffectively with others, including students, faculty, staff, and externalmembers of the community.
Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a state/university or highereducation setting.
Direct experience with purchasing creation andBanner Receiving.
Direct experience with use of and compliancewith a University Purchasing Card (P-Card).
Strong organizational skills with an ability tomultitask, and meet strict deadlines.
Working knowledge of computer systems and bestpractices is highly desired.
Experience with sponsored programs rules ®ulations related to procurement is highly desired.
Salary Range: $35,000-$42,000
