Who we are:
Very Good Manufacturing runs beverage production for leading alcohol & alcohol alternative brands. We specialize in distilled spirits and ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails, and our high speed canning and bottling lines accommodate all TTB approved sizes and fill levels. We have an on-site R&D Beverage Laboratory for private label concepting & formulation.
Our company is growing fast: the Fort Worth, Texas production facility tripled in size in 2023, and we are building a second facility in 2024. We are looking for professional, talented and driven individuals to join our team and grow with the company.
About the role:
The Warehouse Lead will play a key role in managing warehouse operations at Very Good, ensuring the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of our beverage products.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a practical understanding of warehouse management principles. A large part of this role in the beginning will be loading and unloading trucks, and the ideal candidate will be an experienced, confident, and safe forklift driver. They will be excited to join an early stage, fast-growing company; be able to learn new skills quickly; and set a precedent for excellence on the warehouse floor.
Compensation:
$19 - $26 per hour DOE
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving and storing raw materials, staging materials for production, and shipping finished case goods.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline warehouse processes and improve efficiency with shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
- Maintain an impeccably clean, organized, and safe warehouse area. Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Ensure that safety procedures are followed with forklifts, scissor lifts, and any other machinery/equipment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality and Operations with a Continuous Improvement mindset.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Previous experience (3 years) in a warehouse leadership role.
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment required.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Excellent mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Conceptual knowledge and detail-orientedness of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
