Position Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining inventory counts and evaluating quality of goods for incoming shipments. Their duties include unloading delivery trucks and checking incoming shipments against product packing slips, organizing and storing incoming materials until they receive quality approval, and notifying Purchasing when they don’t have enough of a particular product at the time of receipt.

Responsibilities and Essential Duties

• Promoting safe work activities.
• Assuring no damaged items are sent or received and properly notating shipping documents if damaged goods are found at time of receipt.
• Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list.
• Systematically receiving products as they are received and added to inventory by tagging containers with the proper receipt label.
• Properly accounting for the location of incoming goods.
• Packaging products for return to vendors or customers and filling out any paperwork necessary such as BOLs, packing lists, etc.
• Communicating and coordinating with other departments and suppliers.
• Performing a daily inspection of the warehouse and completing scale and cleaning logbooks.
• Maintaining records and reporting monthly relevant information related to job duties, such as performance metrics.
• Managing, evaluating, and reporting warehouse productivity.
• Responsible for managing the tank farm receipt, offloading, and cleanliness of offloading area and containment area.

Experience Required

• 1 to 2 years of warehouse work experience.

Physical Requirements

• Employees may be asked to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Works inside in an open office environment; must be available to work 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday.
