Vanmark Equipment is Hiring a Lifecycle Support Specialist Near Boise, ID
JOB SUMMARY:
The Lifecycle Support Specialist will play a pivotal role in supporting our customers and driving the growth of our aftermarket business. This sales position will be responsible for coordinating proactive outreach to our existing customers to better support their equipment, reestablishing customer relationships and winning back aftermarket business and identifying new ways to promote and sell parts and service offerings. This individual will actively engage with customers to offer operator and maintenance support and replacement parts for equipment sold by both our Creston and Boise facilities. The primary objectives of this role will be to:
Offer proactive support to customers, improving performance & reliability of their Vanmark machines
Establish a strong aftermarket presence for Vanmark in the field, improving our visibility into our customer’s operations and opportunities for improvement.
Increase top-line aftermarket revenue
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Growth: Drive top-line revenue growth by effectively promoting parts and aftermarket services to customers.
Customer Engagement: Proactively reach out to existing customers to strengthen relationships and grow their aftermarket business and look for opportunities to offer additional support.
Collaboration: Work closely with marketing team and Vanmark subject matter experts to align aftermarket strategies with broader business objectives and develop marketing plans to support these strategies.
Proactive Assessment and Optimization: Coordinate consistent outreach to customers to communicate expected preventative maintenance or replacement parts needs and identify opportunities for equipment optimization to drive value for the customer.
Customer & Equipment Performance Feedback: Leverage position as customer support resource to gather feedback from the field and funnel these insights back to engineering & production teams to drive improvements in equipment design, performance or manufacturing.
Territory Management: Represent the global aftermarket business for both Creston and Boise facilities.
Customer Visits: Travel to customer locations throughout North America to build and maintain strong customer relationships and explore potential aftermarket opportunities.
Market Insights: Stay informed about market trends, competitive activities, and industry developments to adapt sales strategies and seize growth opportunities.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and revenue forecasts.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience: Past experience in a similar role is ideal, but not required.
Demonstrated experience in sales and/or field service roles is preferred.
Experience in the manufacturing or industrial equipment industry, particularly in the field of food production, is preferred.
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
Technical Competence: Demonstrated ability to grasp technical concepts and understanding of equipment operation and maintenance, with ability to communicate these concepts and solutions to customers.
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout North America to meet with customers and attend industry events. This role may require the individual to spend as much as 50% of their time traveling.
Analytical Thinking: Analytical and strategic thinking capabilities to identify opportunities for revenue growth and to identify solutions to customer’s issue or optimization needs.
Service Orientation: A customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing exceptional service and support.
The Lifecycle Support Specialist is a vital position within our organization and has the potential to have a significant positive impact on the growth of Vanmark’s brand by increasing aftermarket business, developing stronger customer relationships, and improving the flow of feedback from the field back to our team. This role requires a proactive and customer-centric approach, an ability to grasp technical concepts and apply them in the field, and the ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers and establish Vanmark’s aftermarket presence in the field.
