How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

Job Description Summary : The Program Manager position performs according to Tractor & Rail Car Program Management guidelines in conjunction with key performance parameters established by, but not limited to;

Distribution, Logistics, Supply Chain, Safety, Risk, Procurement, and Finance. This position utilizes this guidance towards developing a fleet of tractors and rail cars which are safe and efficient to operate.

  • Manage the lifecycle strategy - cost, schedule and performance of the AMG Tractor Fleet
  • Coordinate, manage statutory and regulatory requirements of the Fleet Tractors (DOT, FMCSA)
  • Contribute / lead the development of safe operating practices and improvement to Argon and Carbon Dioxide rail cars specification and design
  • Contribute / lead the development of safe operating practices and improvement of tractor spec / design
  • Work with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in addressing asset quality, system safety issues reliability, and maintainability
  • Monitor, Assess Preventive Maintenance schedules and compliance of the Fleet tractors
  • Analyze, address, and collaborate with Fleet Maintenance Managers on monthly Out of Service Violations (OOS)
  • Manage Tractor Warranty program for OEM, Sub Component Suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate tractor and cryogenic trailer system integration efforts with Cryogenic Trailer Program Manager and Fleet Engineer
  • Conduct Rail Car Cost Center analysis and review to evaluate / identify trends and create action plans to address negative trends to improve financial performance
  • Coordinate tractor maintenance requirements with Maintenance Management Program ManaWork with engineering to develop and maintain new build specification as well as establishing a refurbishment standard to increase the RAM of the trailer fleet
  • Coordinate with the Railcar Mechanic and Railcar Inspector located in Bayport, TX in setting performance goals and objectives in the management of the entire rail car fleet.

Required Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates to possess a Bachelor Degree
  • 2 plus years experience in Fleet Management
  • 2 plus years railcar experience
  • Previous DOT and FMCSA regulations experience
  • Previous P&L and asset management experience
  • Previous contract negotiation experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the industrial and / or specialty gas business preferred
  • Previous hazmat / cryogenic trucking experience preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma certification / training preferred
  • Strong team leadership and participation skills (proactive, exhibits daily initiative)
  • Solid project management / implementation skills with sustained improvements
