It is new dining heartbeat located in Greenville’s historical Markley Station.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Welcoming customers, reading and listening to people to determine beverage preferences, making recommendations, and taking drink orders.
• Planning drink menus and informing customers about new beverages and specials.
• Selecting and mixing ingredients, garnishing glasses, and serving beverages to customers.
• Checking identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
• Taking inventory and ordering supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
• Adhering to all food safety and quality regulations.
• Handling cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register.
• Maintaining a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
• Developing new cocktail recipes.

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES

• Maintains assigned station in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with Urban Wren service standards and job functions.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
• Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Urban Wren and encourages others to do the same.
• Be an active part of the Urban Wren team, fostering and encouraging the desired culture
• Promote quality product quality and a unique guest experience at every opportunity.
• Take pride in the overall look and feel of the restaurant and event space.
• Maintain a refreshing attitude focused on positive and friendly interactions
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

• Meets state minimum age to serve alcohol.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive, engaging personality and professional appearance.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong task and time management abilities.
• Eye for detail and understanding of drink mixing tools and techniques.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
• Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift
• Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately
• Identify belligerent customers, and work with management when needed to maintain a safe environment
• Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed
• Other duties as requested
