Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to recipes or personal judgment and experience - Ensure all food is prepared and presented in accordance with established quality standards - Monitor food production to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations - Manage inventory control by ordering and receiving supplies, as well as monitoring stock levels - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper storage of food items - Oversee the training and supervision of kitchen staff, including scheduling and assigning tasks - Collaborate with the management team to develop new menu items and specials - Adhere to all food safety guidelines and regulations Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a professional kitchen setting - Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology - Familiarity with inventory control procedures and food cost management - Understanding of food safety principles and practices - Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a team - Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Skills: - Food preparation - Inventory control - Food safety - Food production - Cook - Hospitality - Team management - Food handling - Food management - Food service management Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
