The Research Administrative Specialist position will work within the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation and the Department of Urology. They will work directly with the principal investigators and research staff to submit proposals, monitor expenditures, invoice sponsors, review effort distributions and reconcile financial data for sponsored programs. The Research Administrative Specialist will process accounting transactions such as cost transfers, procurement, subcontract award management, and financial processing related to sponsored projects.

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
-Preferred experience with sponsored grant management in higher education
-Preferred experience with sponsored grant proposal submissions in higher education
-Preferred focus in accounting, finance or business
-Knowledge of research sponsored grants, as well as familiarity with UW-Madison and UW Health policies and procedures are preferred.
This position requires strong written and verbal communications skills, professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail. Familiarity with databases and proficiency with Microsoft Office are required. Strong time management and prioritization skills, flexibility, and adaptability are essential.
Full or Part Time: 80% - 100%
This position may require some work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location. Some work may be performed remotely, at an offsite, non-campus work location.

Salary:Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
