Research Specialist (Assay Performance)

JangoBio is an emerging biomedical company with a broad focus on cell therapies, diagnostics, products, and services provided by five subsidiaries: JangoCell (research-grade products and cell biology services); a vivarium (CRO-services); JangoDx (diagnostic services); JangoPet (stem cell products for veterinary markets); and JangoMed (stem cell products for human markets). Our facilities are located in Fitchburg (headquarters) and at University Research Park, Madison WI.

Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated biochemist for our research and development program. The candidate is expected to have a strong background in biochemistry, analytical assay development, and/or ELISA and other biochemical techniques. The candidate will be joining a dynamic team that pursues new scientific challenges. The individual will primarily assist with biochemical assays such as ELISA and gel electrophoresis. The candidate will have an ability to problem solve, design and test new assays, work independently to achieve company goals, and have the capability of working on multiple projects simultaneously. This role demands a highly goal-driven approach and the ability to focus on time-sensitive objectives.

Duty Requirements:

The candidate is expected to have experience in the following:

  • ELISA assays
  • Clinical assays
  • Gel electrophoresis
  • In vitro cell-based assays

Qualifications:

  • M.S. (preferred) or B.S. in Biochemistry, Biology, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, or a related discipline, 2 years post-graduate experience in industry or academic institution ESSENTIAL.
  • Compensation package negotiable, depending on experience.

Health and dental benefits start on the first of the month following date of hire.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
