SalarySalary Range: $39,924 - $48,649 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours per WeekExempt Position: 40 hours per week.

Essential FunctionsProvides outstanding professional level customer service to prospective, current, or former employees and retirees related to benefits and leave administration. Responsible for providing timely and accurate information to inquiries.
- Respond to inquiries and provide guidance and information via email, phone, video and ticketing system related to benefits, leave and retirement.
- Administer policies and processes regarding with retirement programs, to include the review of retirement paperwork, vesting letters, transfer verifications, Teacher Retirement Service (TRS) and Optional Retirement Program (ORP) processes.
- Review, validate, enter, and process data in HR Information System and peripheral systems that support the benefits and leave functions.
- Compile and analyze data reports on a regular basis.
- Manage Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) cases; ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, address employee inquiries, track cases timely and oversee related PeopleSoft/Absence Management processes.
- Periodically assist with special projects and provide reporting as needed.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Associate's degree (60 college hours) from an accredited institution.
- 2 years of professional employee benefit administration experience.
- Experience with Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
- Excellent customer focused verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and analytical skills.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in work and documentation.
- Ability to identify process improvements and to recommend and implement efficient solutions.
- Ability to prioritize work to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to self-manage work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with HRIS and benefit systems.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- HRCI-PHR, SHRM-CP, or other relevant certifications.
- Experience in higher education.
- Experience in knowledge of UT System group benefits.
- Experience with PeopleSoft and the PeopleSoft Benefits Administration Module and Absence Management Module.
Working Conditions- Work Modality: Hybrid-Occasionally. Primarily works remotely, but may work on campus on an infrequent basis (approximately four days or less per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
- Occasional travel outside of local area may be required.
