The University of Texas at Austin is seeking outstanding applicants for a non-tenure track faculty position in the Public Health Degree Program in the College of Natural Sciences.
Qualified candidates will have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., DrPH, MPH/MD) in public health or a related field. We seek a candidate qualified to teach a range of courses in the public health core curriculum. Thus, the ideal candidate will have broad experience in public health and specialized knowledge/experience in one or more core areas or disciplines of public health. Past experience in providing public health or related services is highly desirable; past experience in undergraduate teaching and/or mentoring students is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will have: demonstrated undergraduate teaching experience (as well as mentoring student research projects and/or honors theses); proven scholarship and achievement; and the ability to work with a dynamic and creative team. Additional preferred qualifications include: expertise in curriculum development, use of innovative instructional methods, and grant writing.
Interested applicants should submit a current curriculum vitae, three letters of reference, and a letter of interest that documents that the candidate is informed and current in the discipline of public health, and documents the candidate's experience or potential to support undergraduate public health education.
