University of Texas at Austin is Hiring an Assistant Professor- Building, Energy and Environments- Fall 2024 Near Austin, TX

Description

The Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) at The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in Building, Energy, and Environments (BEE). The Department seeks applicants in all areas of engineering relevant to BEE, with special emphasis on buildings, including their interface with community-scale energy systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, building engineering physics, smart buildings, control systems, indoor air quality, healthy and energy-efficient buildings, energy-efficient design and retrofits, and resilient buildings and systems. Candidates bringing experience in technical performance and those working at the interface of human and physical systems are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a PhD in engineering or a related area. The successful candidate will be expected to create undergraduate and graduate learning environments that address the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds with differing learning styles and abilities. Further, the successful applicant will be expected to develop an externally sponsored research program, mentor graduate students, collaborate with other faculty, and serve the university and profession.
