Job Description Summary
The Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager is responsible for designing and implementing recruitment strategies for Provost Center Jobs. This role leads the Provost Center Talent Acquisition team and monitors all recruitment procedures, from sourcing to hiring, identifying high-potential candidates, and managing a team of recruiters. As an active member of the University's Central TA team, will ensure compliance and stay abreast of changes to policy while offering creative solutions to hiring.
Job Description
Responsibilities:Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Position Management
Partner with hiring managers to write accurate and compelling job descriptions and scorecards, design effective and inclusive interview processes including assignments and questions to collect the right evidence and make objective and equitable hiring decisions.
Coach hiring managers on effective interview techniques, model effective interviewing, and guide them through evidence-based decision-making.
Coach and counsel hiring managers around talent acquisition strategies to increase their proficiency and engagement in sourcing and attracting top talent.
Use a variety of sourcing techniques to find exceptional and diverse candidates for full-time and temporary roles.
Review resumes and phone screen the most competitive candidates and present them to the hiring manager.
Proactively build a pipeline of exceptional and diverse talent, including identifying, meeting with, and cultivating top talent for future roles on staff.
Champion consistency and standards in recruitment policies and practices.
Administrative
Utilize applicant tracking system (Workday) effectively to ensure our hiring process is efficient and effective, and that hiring data is accurate.
Ensure new hires transition seamlessly to onboarding activities.
Manage an efficient hiring process, ensuring that hiring manager's needs are met and that candidates move expeditiously through the process, minimizing time spent in process.
Manage, train, and evaluate the team of recruiters.
Strategy
Develop creative and innovative strategies for sourcing and hiring top talent.
Build relationships with key internal/external partners to assure that our outreach is inclusive and our talent pipelines are robust and diverse.
Participate in and lead projects as needed.
Establish an evidence-based approach to analyzing activity and trends through appropriate data collection and metrics along with anecdotal summaries of sourcing and hiring trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BA/BS plus 7-10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Talent acquisition experience in all levels of an organization and a minimum 5 years of management experience. Higher education experience preferred.
Skills: Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with all constituencies of a diverse university community, outstanding leadership and management skills, an understanding of automated management information systems, and a sound knowledge of relevant federal, state and local government regulations and equal opportunity policies are required. Aptitude for balancing multiple priorities with strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills are required. Prior Workday experience is preferred.
