Job Description

The University of Indianapolis is accepting applications for a full-time Assistant Project Coordinator who will support the oversight of all contracts and payments associated with a statewide literacy education initiative as well as assisting with the fiscal management to ensure regulatory compliance. The Assistant Project Coordinator must be familiar with contracting and fiscal efforts aligned to federal funding sources to ensure regulatory expectations are maintained.

Qualifications- Assistant Project Coordinator
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years administrative support or fiscal management experience
Essential Functions- Assistant Project Coordinator
  • Assist with contract development through draft, revision, approval, filing, and distribution with all vendors in the project.
  • Support all financial operations for the project including, but not limited to: budget preparation and monitoring, processing accounts receivable and payable process to ensure alignment to overall budget.
  • Monitor billing schedules to ensure on time payments.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and procedures.
  • Maintain clear and accurate operations documents/procedures for reference purposes.
  • Provide on-going assistance to staff on contract development and compliance issues.
  • Provide administrative assistance to the Project Coordinator
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards and procedures
  • Maintain clear and accurate electronic record filing and documentation
  • Follow the guidance and direction of the supervisor(s).
  • Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior.
  • Abide by the University’s policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Other duties, including special projects, as required or assigned.
