Description: Position Summary We have an opening for Postdoctoral Research Associate in RNA research and functional genomics. This position is available immediately. The researcher will study RNA expression regulation, especially focusing on dysregulated genes in cancer development and progression. We are particularly interested in combining bioinformatics, high-throughput multi-omics approaches such as RNA-seq, CRISPR screening, single cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, as well as standard molecular biology techniques to characterize gene expression regulation at the molecular and cellular levels. Moreover, our lab is also interested in using RNA expression profiles as molecular biomarkers for disease diagnosis and prognosis. Prepare results for publication and presentation
Keep records in laboratory notebook
Conduct experiments
Maintain proper notebook documentation and clear records of experimental work.
Participate in the weekly lab meetings and common seminars of the Department
Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications This position requires a Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics or related fields. The candidates should have extensive experience in molecular and cell biology as demonstrated by solid publication record. Experience in genomics or bioinformatics is also a plus.
