Description:

The Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science in Health Disparities (CDIS) within the Department of Medicine at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to help disseminate research findings for several longitudinal studies related to HIV-related risk, prevention, care, and treatment of adolescents and older adults. Quantitative and qualitative data on risk factors and co-morbidities are available related to (but not limited to) mental health, substance use, cognitive functioning, and social and structural determinants of health. Interest in global health is particularly desirable. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will pursue their own program of research, contribute to grant writing, help with data analyses for existing studies, and assist in building capacity to conduct research in dissemination and implementation science at the University of Illinois Chicago.

Position Responsibilities
  • Clean and analyze data, present findings to the community and at academic conferences, prepare papers for publications, and contribute to grant writing.
  • Increase CDIS capacity to educate and assist scholars in dissemination and implementation science.
  • Contribute to other professional development CDIS-related tasks.
  • Develop an independent program of research.
The individual in this position will have access to center resources, including supportive faculty, a strong administrative team, opportunities for collaboration, and training to facilitate professional growth in dissemination and implementation science. Ample opportunities will exist to lead manuscripts and develop independent grant applications.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and computer/pc skills, strong attention to detail and proficiency in preparing large datasets for analysis, as well as the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, be flexible, and work autonomously. They will have a demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.
